Some of you may know that I got my start in this business as a horse show photographer. However, as of June 2010, I will no longer be covering equine events.

You will be able to purchase prints and jpg files via www.ponyphotographer.com until June 30th, 2010. After that, ponyphotographer.com will merge with www.freedomsflightphoto.com and proofs from past horse shows will no longer be available.

The good news is that we are having a big sale! If you purchase from us before June 7th, you will receive 15% off print prices! The rest of the month we will continue the sale with 10% off all purchases.

I want to thank everyone who has attended horse shows I have photographed, and purchased from me in the past. During their engagement session, I was struck by how in love Tracey and Kenny are – and, not surprisingly, it shows in their photos!  Tracey had told me that color pop in their photos was important, as she would be wearing a nontraditional red wedding gown – a fact that made me all the more excited about being selected to shoot their May wedding!

Tracey & Kenny are actually from Fredericksburg, VA, but planned for the wedding to take place at the Gateway Convention Center in Rocky Mount, NC. We decided to do their engagement session in downtown Durham, as it had exactly the urban/grunge look we were going for.  We were able to utilize some great spots, and I was delighted with the colors in these images!

Light teal isn’t a color I get to work with often, and I was delighted with how it came out – I have to say this has to be one of my favorite images of the day!
