Sara had decided to have her bridals taken at the Proximity Hotel in Greensboro. From Wendover Avenue, I noted how beautiful and grand the venue was and when I first stepped inside I had to take several deep breaths to keep my excitement in check. The Proximity is beautiful – a photographer’s paradise!

Taunee and Luke are finally married! It has been so hard for me to keep these images under wraps, but now that the wedding has come and gone, I can finally reveal a few of the images from Taunee’s bridal session!

We started out on the bridge where they planned for the ceremony to take place, and ended with a few shots in downtown Greensboro. Taunee has to be one of the sweetest brides I have ever had the pleasure of working with, and the wedding was one I won’t soon forget!

I love when my brides plan ahead! Taunee came armed with some creative ideas about incorporating color in her photos – including this orange parasol!

I LOOOVE that dress!

Look at the yellow shoes! Taunee told us how she found this pair on Ebay when she didn’t like anything she saw in local shops. I think a bride’s shoes say a lot about her personality and I simply love these!

Saving the best for last ;) My favorite two shots of the day!

Last but not least – a sneak peek from their wedding day! I can’t wait to share the rest of their images in a few weeks!

Bridal Portrait at Elon University

Posted on March 18, 2010

This image is among my favorite bridal portraits. When Jessica and I decided upon Elon University for her bridal session, we hadn’t counted on pouring rain the day of the photo shoot. Fortunately Belk Library has a beautiful covered colonnade that provided us a dry place to work. And being that the University was closed that day, we had it all to ourselves. Although the weather eventually cleared enough for us to venture out to other areas of the campus, my favorite images were taken during the rainiest part of the day.
