The other evening I sat on the stoop in my backyard, and watched the sunset. Barn swallows swooped and dove overhead as they feasted on flying insects. They are but tiny dots in the image below, but if you can just imagine them dive bombing the sun – well that’s what looked like. I swear! Like something straight out of the movie “Titanic”.

I often wish my backyard afforded me a better view so as to observe the vibrant sunsets we get here (particularly in the winter months). This time I made do by trying a different, “artistic” approach.

As the light faded, a beautiful cloud pattern emerged – blushing fiery red and orange against the deep blue of the evening Carolina sky.

Cara and Andy were wed on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at the Magnolia Manor in Colfax. The venue was gorgeous and the weather could not have been better for their outdoor wedding ceremony! Congratulations you two!

Taunee and Luke are finally married! It has been so hard for me to keep these images under wraps, but now that the wedding has come and gone, I can finally reveal a few of the images from Taunee’s bridal session!

We started out on the bridge where they planned for the ceremony to take place, and ended with a few shots in downtown Greensboro. Taunee has to be one of the sweetest brides I have ever had the pleasure of working with, and the wedding was one I won’t soon forget!

I love when my brides plan ahead! Taunee came armed with some creative ideas about incorporating color in her photos – including this orange parasol!

I LOOOVE that dress!

Look at the yellow shoes! Taunee told us how she found this pair on Ebay when she didn’t like anything she saw in local shops. I think a bride’s shoes say a lot about her personality and I simply love these!
